Our Coaches

Coach Lauren has been a team member as a young Stingray since her early years as an Age Group swimmer. She has lifeguarded our swimmers and others as an employee of the Aquatic Center. She has also been a successful multi-letter earning swimmer as a Lake Havasu High School Swimming Knight. Coach Lauren is also currently continuing her education as a student at Mohave Junior College.

Head Coach Mike brings 17 years of coaching experience to the swim team. As a nationally ranked age group swimmer Coach Mike swam through high school and into college where he then focused on his education earning a Masters degree in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois. When he returned to his home state of California he founded and head coached the Valley Center Swim Team for 12 years.

After raising a family and pursuing various career opportunities he has again returned to his athletic roots with the Stingrays. Currently he has achieved his level two certification and is working toward his level 3 certification.

Coach Susan has joined the team as the coach of our Stingers and Pre-Stingers. She brings a wealth training experience which includes running and triathlons. Susan also has a daughter who swims with the team as a Stingray. Coach Susan is currently working toward her level 1 certification.
